Kırıkkale

A small province adjacent to Ankara — the Delice Valley hiking canyon, Keskin's highland plateaus and a base for Central Anatolian exploration.

City guide

Kırıkkale is one of Turkey's smallest and most industrialised provinces, created in 1989 primarily around the Kırıkkale arms and ammunition manufacturing complex. Historically part of Ankara, the province is transitional terrain between the capital's steppe and the Kızılırmak river highlands.

The Delice Valley to the east offers canyon hiking, and the Keskin district's highland plateau villages are a quiet rural escape from Ankara only 80 km away.
