Yalova is Turkey's smallest province on the Asian side of the Marmara, best known for its thermal springs at the resort of Termal. Atatürk loved the baths here and built a summer pavilion, now preserved as a museum, making Yalova a place of both historical and therapeutic interest.
A fast ferry from Istanbul takes under an hour, making it a popular day-trip and weekend spa destination. The province is also home to Turkey's largest botanical garden.
